However, like anything new, you have to get used to Rebirth Island and the biggest doubt any squad faces on this island, which is also the very first, is where to land. So, here we have some of the best landing zones on the new Warzone map, both in amount of loot and as a favourable staring point.
Prison Block
Number one spot, good location and packed with loot. Located right in the centre on a hill, it has enough weapons and cash to keep you covered. Strategically perfect, if it wasn’t for the fact that everyone will want to keep it for themselves.
Security Area
Not as much loot, comparatively, but it has enough advantages. These include a good amount of cash and weapons and an extensive collection of vehicles, including a helicopter. There’s also a shopping station. The only downside is that it’s on the very edge of the map, so it requires repositioning in most matches, which explains the vehicles.
Chemical Engineering Factory
On the north-east end of the island, also on one of the edges, but secluded enough to be more sheltered. There are loads of buildings nearby to get supplies from, plus three shopping stations in different directions, making it more versatile.
Headquarters
If you’re hot-blooded but don’t love the chaos of the prison block, you can always land here first. Right next to the south entrance to the prisons, it has loads of loot, above all near the Command Centre, making it a perfect place to stock up on equipment before you make your way to the prison to sort things out.
Watchtower
Technically the same location as the previous one, it’s part of one of the headquarters building. But we wanted to highlight it specifically as a great place for a sniper’s nest. If you get a good rifle and take your position quickly, you’ll have a huge advantage at the beginning, as you can see the whole centre and south of the island.
Starting tactics
Here’s an example of what would be possible when you start the match in an advantageous area. You can land in the Security Area, get enough loot to buy a box for your personalised equipment and a good sniper’s rifle. Then fly the helicopter to the Watchtower. Gaining a good position early on, without taking too much damage and picking off anyone who gets near the prison
