Diablo Immortal Guide for Beginners

This brand-new game from Blizzard has been a sensation in more ways than one since it launched.

The latest instalment in the Diablo saga is a fascinating role-playing game that stays true to the signature gameplay and environment of the other games in the franchise. However, Diablo games aren’t always the easiest for newcomers, so with that in mind, we’ve rounded up our best tips and tricks for Diablo Immortal newbies.

Play every day

Like with almost all mobile games, you can unlock rewards every day. There are also new contracts and side quests revealed daily, which you can complete to earn money and experience.

Throw away everything you don’t need

A classic tactic in any Diablo game is to pick up every single item and piece of equipment you come across. Most of these objects you won’t need once you find a better-quality piece or you get better attributes. So, don’t be afraid to go to a blacksmith and get rid of all the objects you don’t need by using their services. This will give you useful materials, which you can use to improve other items.

Turn on auto pick-up

Auto looting items from the ground is turned off by default, but you can change this in the settings menu. This feature will save you time and ensure you don’t miss anything.

Wait to claim battle pass XP rewards

Although it may be tempting to collect them as soon as you get them, in this game, the higher your character’s level, the more XP he/she will earn from rewards. So, wait for the game to ask you to level up to progress the storyline and claim your rewards then to maximise the effects.

Explore deep and travel fast

Each area of Diablo Immortal has a lot of secrets and alternative paths. We suggest keeping one eye off the main roads and activating all the teleportation points when you spot one so that you can move quickly between them whenever you need.

Monstrous essence farming

While much of your progress in Diablo Immortal will come from completing the main missions and daily rewards, another good source of materials and experience is the bestiary. The bestiary is a book that contains a list of the enemies you’ve fought along your journeys, along with information about them. However, you can expand your knowledge of these enemies by farming their essences, which they release when you defeat them. Once you’ve farmed enough essences from a single monster, you can turn them in and a new entry will be filled out on them in the bestiary, giving you experience and sometimes even a permanent boost to your stats.

Test your skills

Diablo Immortal has a similar character skill system to the one in Diablo 3. However, keep in mind the following:

Once any skill is unlocked, it can be swapped quickly from the skills menu — but remember to experiment with all of them to find the best synergies and combos.

All the skills are very interesting and the more you use them, the more you can improve their ranks, upgrading their effects.

Take a moment to read and learn about all your character’s skills to find out what each one does. This will give you ideas to improve your fighting against enemies.
