All areas on the Fortnite Season 3 map

Season 3 will introduce a new Fortnite map featuring new areas to discover and landmarks to find.

When you start, you’ll see that the entire map is greyed out, but by visiting the named locations and landmarks, it’ll start to fill with colour.

Searching for named locations is fairly easy because they are pinpointed with question marks, but landmarks are a little trickier to find because they’re not marked on the map.

When you start playing, you’ll see that the map is completely greyed out if it’s your first time playing, or you’ll only be missing sectors in the west. By the same token, some names of the zones will be censored with question marks.

To unveil the new map in its entirety, you’ll have to visit all named locations and landmarks, either on foot or by jumping out of the Battle Bus.

We recommend starting with named locations because they’ll help you narrow down the grey areas where you can look for landmarks on the map.

Named locations on the new Fortnite Season 3 map

The map will be faded grey when you first start playing Fortnite Chapter 3. To give it colour, you’ll need to visit each of the named locations and landmarks in the game.

Discovering named locations will win you XP for the Battle Pass.

Here are the named locations you’ll need to visit, with the new ones highlighted in bold:

Logjam Lumberyard

Condo Canyon

Rocky Reels

Greasy Grove

Reality Falls

Rave Cave

Chonker’s Speedway

Coney Crossroads

The Daily Bugle

Sanctuary

Synapse Station

The Joneses

Tilted Towers

Sleepy Sound
