Starter tips and suggestions
To get going in GTA Online, you’ll first need to complete the tutorial. This will allow you to rack up a nice pile of GTA dollars, get your own vehicle and level up.
Another important feature to get to know is the iFruit. You can use this companion app to accept invitations from bosses, communicate with other characters and do a range of other tasks. With the iFruit app connected to the Internet you can also buy vehicles, property and weapons on different websites, and even access your Maze Bank account. Once you have enough cars and vehicles, don’t forget to buy a garage through iFruit.
When it comes to combat, it’s important to be protected in GTA Online. You’ll want to get yourself some body armour, otherwise your time on the game will be very short-lived.
To start your journey, we recommend the Micro SMG and the Special Carbine. The former allows you to shoot while driving and the latter is very useful at medium-long range.
Of course, it’s always a good idea to start your GTA Online game in company. To do this, select the solo lobby instead of the Free mode in the public session.
The interaction menu
The interaction menu is one of the key features of GTA Online. It allows you to check daily objectives, change outfits, manage businesses and register as a VIP.
You can also see your inventory from here. This is critical for reloading ammunition, as well as stocking up on snacks to restore your character’s strength.
Another interesting setting is passive mode. Once activated, players won’t be able to attack you or steal objects.
You’ll need to activate a fixed location and a personal vehicle with this menu. This will spare you some unpleasant surprises.
Win as early on as possible
The key to success in GTA Online is winning. This will be difficult at first, but the first step is to become a VIP. You can also recruit members for your organisation through SecuroServ. Another important thing you can do is become a CEO. For this you’ll need to buy an office in Dynasty 8 Executive, although you’ll need a respectable amount of cash.
It’s also a good idea to do the missions and assignments. You can accept these through iFruit, using the contact list.
Other GTA Online options are time trials and street races. Breaking the record in these challenges will win you up to an impressive $100,000 GTA dollars.
Heists
Heist missions are a quintessential part of GTA Online. These are a high-challenge game mode that will reward you heaps of cash and RP, although you’ll need a team of players with you to pull them off.
To undertake a heist, there are a series of requirements you’ll need to meet:
Reach level 12 and have a luxury apartment that has a heist planning lobby.
Purchase a facility to access the Doomsday Heist.
Before you can start planning the Diamond Casino Heist, you must buy a Retro Arcade property.
And to try your luck in Cayo Perico, you’ll have to meet Miguel Madrazo at The Music Locker and buy a submarine to start the Cayo Perico Heist.
Business
The other pillar of GTA Online. Doing business is critical to earning money, rewards and making a name for yourself in Los Santos. But, of course, sometimes your interests will clash with those of others.
These are the most common GTA Online businesses:
Biker businesses
Import and export
Special cargo
Air freight
Night clubs
Gunrunning
