Marvel Snap's content expansions bring with them more and more cards to choose from and new combos to try, creating new changes in the meta and in the most powerful cards. Here are the keys to both taking advantage of this and crushing the game.
Meta Decks
Meta is dominated by Zabu, a medium cost card at 3 energy and only 2 power. In return, it has a very attractive Ongoing effect: 4-cost cards cost 2 less energy points.
Kazoo + Zabu
The goal of this deck is to harness Zabu's power to make it easier for you to get rid of all the cards in hand on the last turn, which will activate Strong Guy's ability: gain +6 power if you don't have cards in hand.
To do this, you can take advantage of the discard cards, all of which are in Pool 1 and Pool 2 (except Hellcow), so it's also an easy deck to make if you haven't yet got to Pools 4 and 5.
Zabu + Devil Dinosaur
Devil Dinosaur is one of the most popular Marvel Snap cards for its synergy with Moon Girl, as well as White Queen. The goal is the opposite of the other deck: you'll want to have more cards in your hand, the more, the merrier, so that Devil Dinosaur (5-3) gets +2 power for each card in your hand.
The role of Zabu, which is placed in turn 3, is to make it easier to play Moon Girl and White Queen at the same time on turn 4, something that would otherwise be impossible (each costs 4 energy), and thus get the most out of Dinosaur, which you'll play in the next turn.
Best Marvel Snap Anti-Meta Decks
Another very high card on the Marvel Snap tier lists is Leader (6-4), which copies all the cards that the opponent has played in that turn, but on their side, which you can normally only play on turn 6.
So, what is the best deck to counter these Zabu and Leader cards? Sandman Ongoing Destroyer, a variant of the popular Destroyer Ongoing (which takes advantage of its Ongoing effect of playing only 1 card per turn) combined with Sandman as a counter to Zabu to become the ultimate anti-meta for the current season.
These are the cards in the deck:
Ant-Man (1-1) - Recruit Season
Armor (2-3) - Pool 1
Colossus (2-3) - Recruit Season
Lizard (2-5) - Pool 1
Mister Fantastic (3-2) - Pool 0
Captain America (3-3) - Pool 1
Cosmo (3-3) - Pool 1
Sandman (4-1) - Pool 2
Warpath (4-5) - Pool 2
Professor X (5-3) - Pool 1
Spectrum (6-5) - Pool 1
Destroyer (6-15) - Pool 3
Sandman is also effective against decks based on Silver Surfer (3-0, gives 3-cost cards +3 power) and Sera (5-4, an ongoing card that reduces the cost of your cards by 1). The main goal is to prevent opponents being able to put down a lot of cards in the final turn.
Destroyer's presence makes it a risky deck, so if you'd rather not use it, or don't have it, you can also play Spectrum (6-5), one of the first cards you get, which gives +2 power to all your cards with ongoing effects, including Sandman and all the other 1-, 2- and 3-cost cards you've set in the first turns.
