Tricks for Airship, the new map in Among Us

Among Us has been one of the greatest discoveries of the past year.

Loads of streamers have based some of their content on this game, breathing new life into it. So much so that the developers have continued working on it and have now come out with a new map full of new stuff. Here are some tricks that will make your matches easier.

A huge new map

Airship is one of the biggest maps and, as it’s new, it is very easy to get lost. At least in the first days when you’re still getting used to it. This can be very useful for sabotaging, so you’d better take a look at the map beforehand and remember where the critical points are so you can act fast if needed. The Main Hall is a good hunting area for imposters with all of its exits and because you can get to all the critical points quickly from here. Avoid passing through it as much as possible.

Cameras

The cameras are always an essential ally for the crew, but they are even more important here. This is because they control large swaths, from which you can see whether someone is going in or out of the holes. Unlike other maps, the security room here is relatively safe, without any vents.

Loads of hiding spots

As this map is bigger, it’s also easier to get lost. What’s worse, though, is the number of hiding spots. These can seem like a good thing for imposters, but it’s a double-edged sword. There is only one way in and out of these hiding spots, so it’s easy to corner an imposter who just killed one of your crewmates. Used properly, however, they are the perfect place to hide bodies so they won’t be discovered at any time during the match.

New missions and mechanics

The Airship has loads of new missions that make the most of the least secure locations. With a bit of knowledge, it is possible to isolate some crewmates, on the Viewing Deck, for example, where it is unlikely they will be found before the end of the match. Plus, there are new transitions between zones that can impede movements without the need for sabotage, like on the platform. Electricity is a key element, playing a much bigger role than on other maps. There are three interconnected panels that can be manipulated without anyone knowing who the culprit was.

Vents

On this new map, the vents connect small areas, which is quite useful. Here are the specific connections so you can memorise them.
