But sometimes it can become a struggle if you don't really know what to do. So, here are some tips to help you survive the zombie mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, above all if you're a newbie to this type of game.
Create a class
One of the new things this time in zombies mode is that you can create a class. Although this was an option in previous Call of Duty games, it's particularly interesting and progress is tied to the multiplayer game so you'll have loads of options available to you. You should take your time looking through these options to start off with a powerful weapon. Plus, you also have the field improvements, which are only in zombies mode and will be of great help. They're all good but the land mines have something that makes us love them even more.
Skills
Another thing to take into account is the improvements to permanent skills, which are an important part of this mode. You can unlock them with Aetherium Crystals, a special currency that you earn by completing certain key rounds, in multiples of 5. In the beginning, you won't get many crystals but higher levels will earn you a good haul. There are interesting improvements for different play styles, but the Jugger-Nog perk is perfect for newbies because you'll bear the damage better.
Mobility
The key to fighting zombies is mobility, as Brad Pitt said in World War Z: movement is life. Your best chance is to open up the map as much as possible, using the Essence you get from the zombies when they die to open doors and paths. That way you'll have more space to run, plus the map helps this type of movement by creating corridors where it's harder for the zombies to surround you and easier for you to kill them.
Better weapons
Like in any Call of Duty, the zombies mode has a way for you to improve your weapons and deal much more damage: the Pack-a-Punch. It is essential that you get it as soon as possible, because the boost in damage is considerable and it will help you survive when facing off against mini-bosses and enemies with more life. So, the first step is to open up paths and activate the power in the underground plant. In Cold War, it's even more important for you to improve your weapons up to three times, as well as adding several types of ammunition.
Perks
Perks are a classic in the zombies modes and you'll find these special skills all over the map in vending machines. To use them, you'll need Essence. In exchange, you'll get improvements in recharging speed, velocity, life, etc. The price goes up each time, so getting the Jugger-Nog or Speed Cola, for more life and quicker recharging, should be your priority.
